Contenuti | L’insegnamento verterà sui fondamenti del progetto di information design, a partire dalla sua articolata definizione, in modo da fornire agli studenti una appropriata impostazione progettuale per la realizzazione di una infografica e per la sua comunicazione a un pubblico non specialistico. |
Testi di riferimento | La bibliografia relativa al design delle infografiche, come i riferimenti ai casi studio e alla bibliografia inerente al tema del color, verranno fornite in aula, in fasi successive e corrispondenti agli stati di avanzamento dei progetti. |
Obiettivi formativi | Obiettivo dell’insegnamento è fornire gli strumenti per la progettazione di una infografica e per la realizzazione di un progetto di grafica editoriale esplicativo e di supporto ai contenuti dell’infografica. A partire dalla acquisizione dei dati e dei contenuti, le fasi del progetto saranno articolate alla scelta del linguaggio visivo appropriato all’interlocutore, alla consistenza e ai significati dei dati, come alla loro riproposizione secondo una struttura narrativa. |
Prerequisiti | Disegno a mano libera, uso di programmi di disegno vettoriale, di elaborazione di immagini e di impaginazione. |
Metodologie didattiche | L’insegnamento è strutturato in due parti strettamente correlate: una teorica e una applicativa. |
Metodi di valutazione | La verifica dell'apprendimento in itinere è condotta mediante revisioni in aula, e consegne intermedie del progetto. ’esame consiste in un colloquio sugli argomenti trattati durante le lezioni teoriche e sulle esercitazioni svolte in aula, sarà inoltre oggetto d’esame un progetto d’anno svolto in gruppo. |

Contents | The course will focus on the fundamentals of the information design project, starting from its articulated definition, in order to provide students with an appropriate design approach for the creation of an infographic and for its communication to a non-specialist audience. |
Textbook and course materials | The bibliography on the design of infographics, as well as references to case studies and the bibliography on the theme of color, will be provided in the classroom, in subsequent stages and corresponding to the progress of projects. |
Course objectives | The aim of the course is to provide the tools for the design of an infographic and for the creation of a project of explanatory editorial graphics and support to the contents of the infographic. Starting from the acquisition of data and contents, the phases of the project will be articulated in the choice of the visual language appropriate to the interlocutor, the consistency and meanings of the data, as well as their repetition according to a narrative structure. |
Prerequisites | Freehand drawing, use of vector drawing, image processing programs and of pages layout. |
Teaching methods | The teaching is structured in two closely related parts: a theoretical part and an application part. |
Evaluation methods | The verification of in-progress learning is conducted through classroom reviews, and intermediate deliveries of the project. The examination consists of an interview on the topics covered during the theoretical lessons and on the exercises carried out in the classroom, it will also be the subject of an examination a project of the year carried out in a group. |
Other information | The contents of the course and of the requested documents will be provided to the students during the first lessons, together with the timetable of the progress of the project of the year. |
