    In maniera sintetica, l'insegnamento tratterà i seguenti aspetti:

    • interpretazione e descrizione delle nuove forme urbane e dell’organizzazione del paesaggio antropizzato, dell’ambiente e delle sue trasformazioni fisico-spaziali a livello metropolitano, con un’attenzione particolare ai paesaggi dello scarto in ambito periurbano (drosscapes, wasted lands, brownfields, per utilizzare un lessico comune ed utilizzato anche in ambito internazionale)

    • identificazione dei problemi e formulazione di ipotesi per soluzioni attraverso un approccio strategico alle questioni urbane, approfondendo in maniera particolare le questione del landscape urbanism e dell’approccio ecologico alle nuove questioni urbane, in una dimensione multiscalare del progetto urbanistico;

    • conoscenza e utilizzazione delle tecniche e degli strumenti della pianificazione urbanistica, con alcuni approfondimenti relativi legislazione regionale campana con un introduzione alla nuova dimensione istituzionale metropolitana.

    • elementi di pianificazione urbanistica: lo studio del sito, le tematizzazioni, il disegno dell’impianto urbano, la struttura urbana, standard e indici urbanistici, il “progetto di suolo”, le infrastrutture, il dimensionamento.

    Obiettivi formativi

    Nel rispetto del profilo didattico previsto per il Laboratorio di Urbanistica e dei contenuti scientifici indicati dal settore disciplinare, il programma proposto sarà indirizzato allo sviluppo di una pianificazione urbanistica, coadiuvata dagli elementi teorici della disciplina e da un approfondimento tematico riguardante il progetto urbano e la pianificazione strategica. Lungo questo percorso didattico si proporranno innanzitutto i principali riferimenti teorici di carattere generale e si illustreranno casi studio significativi. Infine, sarà predisposta un’esercitazione applicativa che avrà ad oggetto un’area della conurbazione metropolitana tra Napoli e Caserta. In questo modo forniranno gli elementi principali della pianificazione urbanistica nei territori della contemporaneità a partire dalle maggiori questioni e condizioni critiche.

    Prerequisiti

    L'insegnamento prevede come esame propedeutico il Laboratorio di Tecnica e Pianificazione Urbanistica. Sono necessarie le conoscenze di base delle normative e delle tecniche della disciplina urbanistica.

    Metodologie didattiche

    Il laboratorio sarà articolato in lezioni e seminari, riservando uno spazio congruo all’esercitazione pratica sull’area di studio (previa attività di sopralluogo, rilievo, ricerca documentale), mediante la quale poter verificare quanto proposto a livello teorico.

    Metodi di valutazione

    L’esame si svolgerà attraverso una discussione sull’esercitazione e una verifica dell’apprendimento degli elementi teorici, legislativi e normativi.

    Programma del corso

    Il laboratorio di urbanistica approfondirà i seguenti aspetti:

    • interpretazione e descrizione delle nuove forme urbane e dell’organizzazione del paesaggio antropizzato, dell’ambiente e delle sue trasformazioni fisico-spaziali a livello metropolitano, con un’attenzione particolare ai paesaggi dello scarto in ambito periurbano (drosscapes, wasted lands, brownfields, per utilizzare un lessico comune ed utilizzato anche in ambito internazionale)

    • identificazione dei problemi e formulazione di ipotesi per soluzioni attraverso un approccio strategico alle questioni urbane, approfondendo in maniera particolare le questione del landscape urbanism e dell’approccio ecologico alle nuove questioni urbane, in una dimensione multiscalare del progetto urbanistico;

    • conoscenza e utilizzazione delle tecniche e degli strumenti della pianificazione urbanistica, con alcuni approfondimenti relativi legislazione regionale campana con un introduzione alla nuova dimensione istituzionale metropolitana.

    • elementi di pianificazione urbanistica: lo studio del sito, le tematizzazioni, il disegno dell’impianto urbano, la struttura urbana, standard e indici urbanistici, il “progetto di suolo”, le infrastrutture, il dimensionamento.
    I punti, integrati con alcuni Seminari di approfondimento su tematiche specifiche, occuperanno circa il 50% dei Cfu dell’insegnamento. I restanti Cfu saranno utilizzati per l’attività progettuale e per la graduale predisposizione degli elaborati finali.

    Contents

    The teaching will address the following issues:

    • interpretation and description of the new urban forms and the organization of the anthropic landscape, the environment and its physical-spatial transformations at the metropolitan level, with particular attention to the landscapes of the periurban issues (drosscapes, wasted lands, brownfields, to use a common vocabulary and also used internationally);

    • identification of problems and formulation of hypotheses for solutions through a strategic approach to urban issues, focusing in particular on the themes of landscape urbanism and the ecological approach, in a multi-scale dimension;

    • knowledge and use of urban planning techniques and tools, with some in-depth analysis of regional Campania legislation with an introduction to the new metropolitan institutional dimension.

    Course objectives

    In compliance with the didactic profile for the Urban Planning Laboratory and the scientific contents indicated by the disciplinary sector, the program proposed will be directed to the development of urban planning, supported by the theoretical elements of the discipline and by a thematic analysis concerning the urban project and strategic planning. Along this educational path, the main theoretical references of a general nature will be proposed and significant case studies will be illustrated. Finally, an application exercise will be set up to cover an area of the metropolitan conurbation between Naples and Caserta. In this way the main elements of urban planning will be provided in the territories of modernity starting from the most critical issues and conditions

    Prerequisites

    Preliminary exams. The teaching presupposes the knowledge of basic techniques and fundamental laws of urban and territorial planning.

    Teaching methods

    The course will be divided into lectures and workshop lessons, as well as in seminars that will illustrate experiences in the field, reserving a space appropriate to the laboratory exercise on the study area through which verify what was proposed at the theoretical and methodological level.

    Evaluation methods

    The exam will take place through a discussion on the exercise and a simultaneous oral examination of both the critical skills and the capacity of the organization of the discourse, and the learning of the theoretical, legislative and regulatory elements of the discipline.

    Course Syllabus

    The teaching consists of the following parts:

    • elements aimed at the interpretation and description of the new urban forms and the organization of the anthropic landscape, the environment and its physical-spatial transformations at the metropolitan level, with particular attention to the landscapes of the periurban areas (drosscapes, wasted lands, brownfields, to use a common vocabulary and also used internationally)

    • identification of problems and formulation of hypotheses for solutions through a strategic approach to urban issues, focusing in particular on the issues of landscape urbanism and the ecological approach to new urban issues, in a multi-scale dimension of the urban project;

    • knowledge and use of urban planning techniques and tools, with some in-depth analysis of regional Campania legislation with an introduction to the new metropolitan institutional dimension.

    • elements of urban planning: the study of the site, the themes, the design of the urban system, the urban structure, standards and urban indexes, the "land project", the infrastructures, the sizing.

    The previous four points, integrated with some in-depth seminar on specific themes, will occupy about 50% of the teaching credits. The remaining credits will be used for the project activity and for the gradual preparation of the final graphic drawings.
