    Contenuti

    Obiettivi formativi

In aderenza all’art.

"Made in Italy".

    Contents

The course combines a theoretical and a fundamentally laboratorial part which simulates a real fashion office by creating a project team called "dream team". Each dream team simulates a style office that follows the collection from the design, to the search for fabrics, to the actual prototyping of the same and to the creation of the final book. The creation of individual books with the presentation of the collections will be enclosed in a general publication created by the students of the course called LOOK special, which this year is in its fourth edition.

    Course objectives

In compliance with art. 4 of the CdS in Design for Fashion Regulations, AA 2018/29, the teaching program aims to provide advanced preparation in the creation of a women's / men's collection through the real planning and realization of the garments designed by individual students, organized in teams that simulate a real style office, each of which is given a specific part of the collection project: drawing, technicians, paper pattern, fashion illustration, creation of the collection's texture, photography and final shooting, design of the collection's brand and catalog the final.

    Prerequisites

The teaching, in respect of the qualifying training contents of the class, as reported in the art. 5 of the Rules of the CdL must integrate humanistic and technical scientific skills to create a unique and complete figure able to interact and manage the development of new concepts and products for the sectors that characterize, the fashion design and the
"Made in Italy". Therefore initial and intermediate checks will be carried out to evaluate these entry prerequisites.

    Teaching methods

The teaching has an experimental nature given the structure of the dream team laboratory that allows to follow all the students. Unlike the second year laboratory, however, in this laboratory each student takes care of a specific part of the project (the one most congenial to him) after having experimented with all the professional figures involved in a style office: trend research, pattern design, prototype realization, design style of the collection, technical drawing, fashion illustration.
The prototyping and prototyping professors will join the course for the prototype part in workshops aimed at prototyping.

    Evaluation methods

There are intermediate steps of verification with credits during the different project steps of the collection. The final step involves checking the final catalog for each single dream team and a personal book.

    Other information

During the course cooperations will be created with other teachers depending on the possibilities of collaboration offered by third year colleagues.
