Contenuti | Essendo il corso composto da studenti provenienti da formazioni diverse sarà necessario stabilire una progressione nei lavori di laboratorio coerente con le possibilità e la maturità progettuale dei singoli studenti. |
Testi di riferimento | La Bibliografia Base verrà fornita il primo giorno di lezione e ulteriori elementi di approfondimento verranno comunicati durante le diverse conversazioni. Ogni studente sarà chiamato a costruire una propria bibliografia base che rappresenti il percorso sul proprio lavoro di progettazione. |
Obiettivi formativi | Il corso di “Architectural Design” ha come missione primaria la formazione sugli elementi base della Progettazione attraverso una serie di lezioni ex cathedra e d’interventi a scala variabile che forniscano agli allievi strumenti concettuali, critici e operativi primari necessari per affrontare il progetto contemporaneo |
Prerequisiti | Conoscenza dell’inglese; basi consolidate di Storia dell’Architettura Moderna e Contemporanea; Capacità di disegno a mano libera; Conoscenza base di Auto-Cad o di programmi alternativi per la progettazione. |
Metodologie didattiche | Lezioni frontali e laboratorio di progettazione; eventuale viaggio didattico |
Metodi di valutazione | Correzioni periodiche; presentazione pubblica del progetto in fase intermedia (mid term) e finale |
Altre informazioni | Presenza obbligatoria per il conseguimento del voto finale. Votazione e consegna degli elaborati obbligatoria secondo il calendario fissato all’inizio dell’anno. |

Contents | Since the melting of the students’ group is uncertainty due to the different backgrounds there will be a definition of the design exercises in coherence with the maturity and preparation of the students. |
Textbook and course materials | A Bibliography will be provided the first day of lecture and further elements will be communicated along the different conversations. Every students will be asked to design its own Bibliography which will represent the individual path of the Design Process. |
Course objectives | The course’ primary mission want to define and work on the basic element of the Design Process through a series of lectures and projects on different scale able to provide to the students conceptual, critical and operational tools to face the practice of contemporary design. |
Prerequisites | Good English level (spoken and written); good basics of History of Modern and Contemporary Architecture; Good capability drawing by hand; Good knowledge of Auto-Cad other other complementary programmes. |
Teaching methods | Frontal lectures and Design Laboratory; Didactic travel (to be defined) |
Evaluation methods | Periodical corrections; public presentation of the project (mid term and final) |
Other information | Mandatory presence and grading related to the given calendar and students’ deliveries of the three projects. |
