    Metodologie didattiche

    Lezioni frontali

    Metodi di valutazione

    Prova scritta e prova orale.

    Course objectives

The aim of the course is to give tools of basic mathematics to analize models for problems concerning human sciences and to introduce the audience to the basics about computer systems.
At the end of the course the student will have acquired the necessary knowledge to:
    1) a qualitative evaluation of the behaviour of a real function. 2) the calculus of limits.

    Prerequisites

Knowledges of mathematics of high school as:
    inequalities, trigonometry, exponential, logarithm, polynomial.

    Teaching methods

    Lectures

    Evaluation methods

    Written and oral examination.

The written part consists of exercises related to all the topics, to be performed justifying the logical steps, by a definition and by the statement and proof of a theorem, and three multiple choice questions related to the part of computer science.
The written examination lasts 2 hours and notes or books can not be consulted.

The written test is preparatory to the oral examination, which can be accessed only if an assessment is obtained in the written test greater than or equal to 18/30. The oral examination is not mandatory.

It is also remembered that to take the exam, both written and oral, it is necessary to ascertain the identity of the candidate; it is therefore recommended to bring a valid ID card.

    Other information

Some written tests from previous years can be found in "Materiale didattico" on Prof. Crispo's page.

At the end of the course the register of lessons is also published where the program of Mathematics actually carried out in the academic year is presented.
