https://www.unicampania.it/index.php/didattica/dottorati-di-ricerca The topic of "Technologies for resilient living environments" refers to the research, development and application of technologically advanced solutions that, with reference to living environments, workplaces and cultural production contexts, at various scales, empower them to retain their identity in response to environmental and social changes and stresses, adapting and regenerating, while promoting positive and sustainable change; living environments means all those places, open and confined, in which living and work activities are carried out, including buildings and infrastructure as well. The proposal involves the participation of the following Departments of the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli": and the following companies: The research topics characterizing the industrial PhD program recognize particular importance to the promotion of economic development and the production system, facilitating the joint design in relation to the research topics and the activities of PhD students. The aim is also to develop shared research projects between universities and companies based on the needs of the companies themselves, which today have to innovate from an organizational and strategic point of view. In this context, the training project must consider the presence of Executive PhD positions and 50% co-financed positions (DM 352), balancing the planned teaching activity, other activities and the research activity at the company The general objective of the PhD Course is to prepare high-level technicians and researchers able to work in cultural, scientific and industrial activities, through the use and development of technologies necessary to improve the resilience capacity of living environments, workplaces and cultural production contexts at various scales, now more affected than ever by climate and social change. The changes induced by climate change and the recent pandemic find the living environments still unprepared to cope with them in a structural way, thus favoring an adaptation inevitably generated by the emergency and not by that necessary renovation, predictive and resilient, able to maintain the functionality of the environment and its recognizability. The objective of using and/or developing innovative technologies allows to achieve targets of waste reduction and minimization and efficiency in the use of resources with high yields and low impacts and at the same time, in a holistic vision, as well as to combine personal well-being and workplaces; furthermore, in the field of cultural production context, the aim is to increase participation in cultural life also through the access to cultural heritage, encouraging innovation and using the opportunities offered by digital technology. The objectives are modulated also with reference to the companies associated in the current cycle and that contribute to the activation of the PhD Course; In this regard, some specific objectives are related to: • training personnel capable of implementing and codifying structural diagnostics techniques, in elevation and foundation, for specific types of infrastructure. These methodologies will have the objective of being on the one hand innovative and on the other little impacting in economic terms, time, and energy consumption.
