Contenuti | Tra gli intendimenti dell’insegnamento si vuole fornire i principi fondamentali nonché le basi critico/teoriche che riguardano l’evoluzione dei concetti di tutela, valorizzazione e restauro delle architetture del passato nella prospettiva di comprensione dei processi evolutivi che il patrimonio costruito ha compiuto. Simile avanzamento viene inteso come significativa esperienza di conservazione e di avvicendamento tra saperi, quasi come ‘testimone’ culturale nella metaforica rappresentazione della storia quale ‘staffetta’ tra generazioni di uomini. |

Obiettivi formativi | L’insegnamento contempla tra i suoi obiettivi l’opportunità di affrontare gli aspetti tematici della conservazione e valorizzazione del patrimonio costruito in vista della disamina conservativa e delle provvidenze di riuso compatibili e sostenibili per la corretta fruizione degli spazi edilizi. |
Prerequisiti | Sono considerate importanti per gli studenti del corso conoscenze di base di storia dell’architettura, di cultura del disegno e della rappresentazione con le metodiche di rilievo dei manufatti. |
Metodologie didattiche | Le metodologie didattiche contemplano lezioni frontali, esperienze seminariali, redazioni di report, sopralluoghi e visite a mostre. |
Metodi di valutazione | L’insegnamento adotta quali metodi di valutazione la realizzazione da parte dello studente di un book inerente la preparazione di report sulle esercitazioni (10 previste) proposte durante l’arco di svolgimento del Corso, con il colloquio sugli elaborati. I report da preparare da parte dello studente corrispondono alla metà delle esercitazioni previste (5) con 2 report (comuni per tutti e concordati con il docente) e gli altri 3 di libera scelta. |
Programma del corso | 1_Temi costitutivi della cultura del restauro e del rapporto antico-nuovo nel più generale orizzonte dalla riflessione europea tra sette e Ottocento in ragione della conservazione del patrimonio costruito. |

Contents | Among the intentions of the teaching we want to provide the fundamental principles as well as the critical / theoretical bases concerning the evolution of the concepts of protection, enhancement and restoration of the architectures of the past in the perspective of understanding the evolutionary processes that the built heritage has accomplished. This advancement is understood as a significant experience of conservation and salvaguardy of knowledge, almost as a cultural 'witness' in the metaphorical representation of history as a 'relay' between generations of men |

Course objectives | Among its objectives, the teaching includes the opportunity to address the thematic aspects of the conservation and enhancement of the built heritage in view of the conservative intent and of the compatible and sustainable reuse provisions for the correct use of the building spaces. |
Prerequisites | Basic knowledge of the history of architecture, the culture of design and representation with the methods of surveying artefacts are considered important for the students of the course |
Teaching methods | The teaching methods include lectures, seminar experiences, report writing, site inspections and visits to exhibitions. |
Evaluation methods | The teaching adopts as evaluation methods the realization by the student of a book concerning the preparation of reports on the exercises (10 foreseen) proposed during the duration of the course, with the interview on the papers. The reports to be prepared by the student correspond to half of the foreseen exercises (5) with 2 reports (common for all and agreed with the teacher) and the other 3 of free choice. |
Course Syllabus | 1_Constitutive themes of the culture of restoration and of the old-new relationship in the more general horizon of European reflection between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries due to the conservation of the built heritage. |
