Attraverso gli studi sullo Spazio Sacro sviluppati in diverse aree dell'architettura, da quelli storici a quelli tecnici, la conferenza ha inteso contribuire a riscoprire il grande tema dell'UTOPIA, in un'epoca caratterizzata dalla crisi degli ideali e il presunto scontro di civiltà, ma anche dalla profonda aspirazione a costruire un nuovo mondo. La presenza alla conferenza di keynote, rappresentanti delle più importanti religioni del mondo, ne è stato un segno significativo.

Trough studies on the Sacred Space coming from different areas of architecture, from the historical to the technical ones, the conference aim was to help the rediscovery of the great theme of UTOPIA. This theme is probably now more important than ever, in an era characterized by the crisis of ideals and the alleged clash of civilizations, but also by the profound aspiration to build a new world. The presence at the conference of keynotes speakers representatives of the most important monotheistic religions was a significant signal.
