Breve descrizione dell’evento:

First meeting for the fourth edition of the international design workshop "Stories from the city" organized by the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design, DADI. The workshop is involving the APIA master course and is mainly framed in the course of “Architectural Design II” and is organized - this Year - in a double version and in a double time (March-April ‘23): DADI, Unicampania (at San Leucio, the Real Site) and DIA, Anhalt University (at Aedes Architecture Forum, Berlin), summer semester. The title for this 4^th edition is: “Natural Housing”.

This first meeting is based on the lecture of Like Bijlsma on “Variations of the Row House”. 

Bio persona invitata:

Like Bijlsma studied geography and architecture. She is the co-founder of SUBoffice architects and works as a researcher urban area at the PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency. She is a specialist in housing typology and urban culture. She carried out studies on Intermediate Size Housing Typologies, Dutch New Towns, Delta Cities, Peri Urban areas, and 1970s Heritage. She was editor of the architectural review OASE and ROOILIJN and is now in the editorial board of FORUM. She teaches at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and the Eindhoven University of Technology. In 2013 she was a guest professor at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, and she is a regular guest critic at the DIA at Dessau in Germany. In 2017 she won the Rotterdam Architecture Prize and in 2019 she was member of the jury of Europan, a housing competition for young European architects.
